Each of us has a deep down part of who we are, called the soul, that enlivens everything else about us. It is, in one author’s words, “… the life center of the person.” In this series we will explore the nature of the soul and what it needs in order to be restored unto health. Together we will discover that the soul needs caring for and, above all, to be shaped by the presence of God.
Join us for a two-part mini series as we begin 2017!
During this season we celebrate the day when heaven invaded earth and redemption became a flesh-and- blood reality in the person of Jesus. We reflect deeply on the advent of love, mercy, and forgiveness, and come face-to-face with the Savior. In this series we will explore the light of hope, love, joy, and peace that Jesus brings into dark places.
God calls students of Jesus to live on mission with Him to overcome evil with goodness. He is always at work in the spaces we inhabit every day, infusing His love, mercy, and justice. In this series we will explore how to foster a keen awareness of God’s invisible kingdom, and how to participate in this reality by shining His light into dark places. In other words, we will discover how we can live as kingdom conspirators.
God calls each of us into an invisible realm where He rules with justice, mercy, and compassion. It’s a place of forgiveness, where we steadily move from worry, fear, and anxiety and into faith hope and love. In this series we will explore what it means to step into this place, the kingdom, and live there each day in the presence and power of God.
Together we will learn from the prayer that Jesus gives to his disciples, often called the Lord’s Prayer. We will explore what it means to be a people of prayer, whose hearts are fixed on God and increasingly aligned with his heart for our world.
This is a stand alone message.
Sometimes what our souls need most is a slowdown. We long to live fully in the gift of each moment, but often find ourselves, instead, consumed to the point of burnout. In this series we will pause to enjoy the scenic route in life, one that intently soaks in and is transformed by the goodness of what God has given. We will learn about six practices−celebration, rest, play, hospitality, gratitude, and hydration−that help us to live as joyful recipients of God’s grace upon grace.
In this series we will learn about God’s desire that we let go of the wrong things and hold fast to the good things that He has for us. We will explore how we can let go of fear, anxiety, and guilt and what this means for us as followers of Jesus in all walks of life.
